Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2026-04-26
1. Minimal data collection
We follow a data minimization principle: we only collect what is strictly required to operate the service. For your account, that is your email address, a chosen username and a hashed password (bcrypt). For your library, that is your subscriptions, listening progress, queue, favorites and Listen Later items.
2. Listening data
Playback progress is synchronized to enable cross-device continuity. We do not sell or share your listening data with advertisers.
3. Audio sources
Audio is streamed directly from the podcast creator's servers. PodSpheredoes not host audio content. The creator's server may collect its own access logs (IP, user-agent) per their privacy terms.
4. Cookies & sessions
We use HTTP-only cookies for authentication. No third-party advertising cookies are set by PodSphere.
5. Data export & deletion
You can export your subscriptions in OPML 2.0 format from your settings. You can permanently delete your account from the same page; deletion cascades to all your personal data.
6. Third-party processors
We may process payments through specialized providers (e.g. Stripe) in future paid tiers. We do not currently store payment information.
7. Contact
For privacy questions or data requests, see our contact page.
