Opinions in sport are rife. It creates debate like no other topic in society. ‘Unpopular opinion, but...’ is a phrase used far and wide across the world, in schools, pubs, workplaces and much more. Sports fans are forever eager to tell their peers of an outlandish view they have on a chosen sport, but in most settings, that person has their opinion shot down on sight. Social media platforms have helped to combat this, but no Twitter thread can compare to having an open platform to express an opinion.
